AKAI'S NEW MPD CONTROLLERS

Akai's New MPD Range of controllers are a tweakers delight...

Akai Professional take more strides into the professional production and DJ arena with the release of the revamped and refreshed MPD Series of controllers. The all-new controllers are the result of many years of detailed research into what DJs and Producers are really after.

All the new controllers in the range feature new, ultra sensitive thick fat MPC pads allowing for a very tactile feel and response when being used. The controllers can be used in conjunction with your iPads using Apple’s Camera Connection Kit and they also come with over £400 of free software (Big Bang Drums and Big Bang Cinema from Sonivox, Ableton Live Lite, and Software Preset Editor).

The new range of controllers are designed to free up creativity and make the production/performance process a doddle.

There are three models in the range:

The MPD218 features red light-up MPC pads and a control set of 6 knobs in 3 banks

The MPD226 has an expanded selection of controls consisting of 4 knobs, 4 faders, 4 buttons in 3 banks for 36 total controls

Whilst the MPD232 boasts an all-new 64-channel 32-step performance sequencer, and a wealth of knobs pads and sliders and generally looks the part.

The MPD series range starts from £69.99 for the MPD218, £139.99 for the MPD226 and £189.99 a complete range of controllers at a price that is rather nice!!!
