BRIGHTON BREEZY NETWORKING!

Dates announced for the Brighton Music Conference (BMC) 2015

The dates have just been announced for next year's Brighton Music Conference (BMC) — the UK's answer to ADE.

The event will again be taking place at Brighton's picturesque Dome complex — adjoining the iconic Brighton Pavilion, built for the Prince Regent (who later became King George IV) in the early 1800s — and the BMC organisers have asked DJ Mag, their main dance music media sponsors, to alert the UK industry to save the date.

So here it is: BMC 2015 will be taking place on Friday June 5th and Saturday June 6th.

As well as a whole load of panels, talks, Q&As and networking opportunities, there will again be all sorts of tech masterclasses, showcases, equipment demonstrations and so on. The adjoining Corn Exchange building will host exhibition stands from most of the major equipment manufacturers, and at night there will be a number of club events scattered around the city.

Last year's inaugural event was attended by a plethora of DJs and industry figures.

“For a first year, I have to say that this was a major success,” said Dave Clarke, the techno DJ currently residing in Amsterdam, who's a consultant for ADE. “This was a fantastic first effort... so damn solid!”

Jono Grant from Above & Beyond, who guested on one of the panels at the 2014 event, said: “Looks amazing, well done!”

“The conference itself, presentations and content were fantastic,” said the representative from Sennheiser UK. “Overall we thought this was a fantastic event.”

DJ Mag can confirm that BMC was indeed a great event last year, and that next year's one already sounds like it's going to top it. More details here
