MIAMI BLOG: DAY SIX

Thursday March 21st

Welcome to day six of our Miami blog. The dust has now settled on our opening pool party at Delano. Incredible time was had by all...

Well almost all. Maybe not for Mr Claude Von Stroke (who last year headlined this party). He turned up at the door with a bus full of Dirtybird fans and despite our best efforts, the venue refused them entry - resulting in an amusing twitter exchange.

Elsewhere Miami's underground has been rocked by the rumours that The Electric Pickle, has been closed down. There is no official word on this at the moment but Get Lost, Crosstown Rebels' annual 24 hour event on the final Saturday of WMC has moved to Ice Palace, and as we write the other nights at the Pickle are trying to arrange new venues. As soon as we have verification on this we will let you know.

We spent the day dancing by the pool as Luciano's Cadenza roadblock rolled into DJ Mag Delano, catching up with the crew from Zouk club in Singapore - doing their research in Miami!

As we arrived Michel Cleis was decimating the deck with a sublime mix of tribal, latin-infused tech house. He made way for the formidable pairing of Kenny Larkin and Technasia (back2back) who, following a few technical difficulties got the beats rolling hard and strong.

As we nipped out at 7pm the place was bursting at the seams. Magic stuff!

Word on the street is that the We Love... party saw James Zabiela, Dusky, Midland and more all playing back2back. Were you there? Tweet us @djmag and let us know how it went down?

Back at Delano - FDR saw Nicky Romero's Protocal Recordings night roll into the intimate venue, with none other than a special surprise guest - David Guetta. It is a big look.

DJ Mag at Delano today sees Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts party, and the place is buzzing again as Ultra Weekend Two kicks off. You can watch the live stream from Ultra HERE . Today's line up includes Eric Prydz, Boys Noize, Avicii and Luciano.

If you are going along be sure to tweet us your pictures and tweet reviews @djmag. We will be publishing the best ones in tomorrow's blog.

Adios for now.
