MAGDA LAUNCHES SERIES OF EVENTS IN BERLIN CALLED PERM

A “fusion of bold electronic music and design”...

Magda has announced a new series of events that will fuse electronic music and design at an unused space in East Berlin called Anomalie.

Dubbed PERM, the events will transform the unused space in East Berlin into a fusion of electronic music and design.

Kicking off on Sunday August 28th, electronic innovators Thomas Brinkmann and Frank Bretschneider will present their respective live projects, Soul Center and Super.Trigger.

There will also be a special, extended DJ set from Magda and the event's resident DJ, Hamid.

“PERM is a project inspired by my musical and aesthetic influences growing up in Detroit and always searching for the lines between things,” explains the DJ and producer.

“Both the events and record label are based on unique collaborations with various multi-media artists to present something a little different.”

Magda plans to create a creative listening area to merge the best of both home and club environments where, like good cooking, the ingredients are uncomplicated and the genius is in the arrangement.

House of North have been invited to build a modular light structure to create a warm, static atmosphere in the main room and the first two events will also exhibit an exciting collaboration with acclaimed German artist Dirk Bell, exhibiting his sculpture “Merkaba” (see below).

Sound system-wise, Magda has commissioned a custom-fitted solution for the space that will satisfy even the most demanding audiophiles.
