Skrillex played the support slot at the opening show of the Guns N’ Roses Not in This Lifetime tour at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Friday 5th August, and now the box-office payout for the event has been revealed.

Reaction to the news of Skrillex’s appearance was met with a mixed response online, but that shouldn’t bother the EDM heavyweight, as it’s been revealed the show grossed a total of $6,166,657 (£4.7m).

It’s been a busy year for Skrillex already, as he dropped ‘Purple Lamborghini’ in August, his Rick Ross collaboration from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, before revealing more collaborations with the rapper are in the works. That was before he scored a short film, titled Still In The Cage, alongside OWSLA-affiliate Wiwek.

You can watch an extended clip of Skrillex’s performance at the NRG Stadium below.
