SERATO RELEASES AUTOMATIC DJ APP FOR HOUSE PARTIES
No more bickering over the aux cord!
Serato has released at app that can automatically mix a party playlist.
Pyro, the latest creation of the company best known for its Serato Live software, can automatically mix between a selection of songs on a playlist.
The app also integrates with Spotify, so those with Premium accounts can use their pre-existing playlists and browse songs within Pyro. In addition, the app has a recommodation engine that can automatically select similar music once your playlist reaches its end.
Serato’s CEO AJ Bertenshaw cautions that the app is not intended as a substitute for a live DJ. "If you think this is taking the job of a DJ, then you don't really know what a DJ does," he told The Verge.
Serato Pyro is compatible with iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and is available now for free from the App Store.
