Deadmau5 has offered over 30 minutes of advice to upcoming producers, in a video recently uncovered from his live stream.

In the clip the Mau5trap boss, real name Joel Zimmerman, talks about how he started out in the industry and how, despite the proliferation of the internet since, he still feels “in person interaction” is key to new producers finding success. You can watch the full video below.

The clip comes in the middle of what has been a busy year for Zimmerman, as he unveiled his new live setup at Veld Festival earlier this month (August), after months of Twitter-based teasing. That was after he revealed his new collaborative live show with Eric Prydz at Tomorrowland in July.

This year Zimmerman has also been working on his eighth studio album, which he recently confirmed is nearly finished, as well as launching his own virtual reality game.
