Best of British DJ calls out to thief who pinched music and headphones

Last night, an otherwise hugely successful Best of British Awards ceremony and club night at Cable, London, was marred after Dan Pearce (Eats Everything), winner of the Best DJ award, had three memory sticks containing music and a pair of headphones taken from the DJ booth shortly before his set.

It is presumed that at some point during the period leading up to his scheduled set time at 1am, his Adidas Senheisser bag containing the equipment, which he tucked beside the left turntable during Richy Ahmed’s set (10.30pm – 11.30pm), was removed. As a result, he was unable to play – thankfully Richy was standing by to pick up the reins from Maya Jane Coles to close the room.

Throughout the night footage was taken and there is CCTV surveillance in the venue, both of which are being reviewed and significant findings will be reported to the police. If anyone as any info about the whereabouts of Dan’s kit, please contact Ben Price ([email protected]) immediately.

Sadly, this is not the first time an incident like this has taken place. Two weeks ago we reported on similar thefts committed to both Art Department and Blawan. Read about it HERE
