Audio-Technica’s new wireless headphones are designed with the studio in mind

Inspired by the Japanese company's well-known M Series headphones

ATH-M20xBT

Audio-Technica has designed a new set of wireless headphones that are intended for professional studio use.

Inspired by the Japanese company's well-known M Series headphones, the over-ear wireless ATH-M20xBT edition has multipoint pairing capability which allows users to connect to two Bluetooth devices at once. These new headphones also boast up to 60 hours of playtime on a full charge and up to three hours on a quick 10-minute charge (via USB-C connection).

Featuring 40mm drivers (compared to the 45mm found in the brand's M50 edition) with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminium wire voice coils, the ATH-M20xBT also come with a 1.2m cable for optional wired connection. There's a microphone and buttons built into the left earcup so you can easily control calls, music playback, and volume. It's worth noting that while the M20xBTs use Bluetooth 5.0, they're not lossless, meaning there will be some compression to the sound. But at this price, it's acceptable. Bear it in mind though if you're looking for studio headphones for mixing. Adding the cable will remove that compression, though.

The Audio-Technica ATH-M20xBT wireless over-ear headphones are priced at £79.99. For more info visit the Audio-Technica site.
