Yu Yu is the latest club to open in Mexico City

Intimate, loud, and focused on local talent...

Yu Yu has become the latest club to open in Mexico City, adding yet another quality-spec destination to a capital which already includes revered addresses such as Foro Normandie, MONO, and Club Rhodesia Social.

The venue is situated at Calle Versalles 94, in the Juárez neighbourhood, occupying the basement of a historic 19th-century building with enough room on the floor for 120 dedicated party people. It also lays claim to a Martin Audio Blackline X Series system, which basically means crystal clear and incredibly punchy acoustics.

From what we've heard, there will be a heavy emphasis on supporting local talent hailing from the metropolis, with some exceptional sounds coming from the area of late— see the Departures Records embed below for proof. International guests will also be heading to the booth, with the musically-multifaceted Auntie Flo locked in for New Year's Eve 2017-18, and [a:rpia:r] mogul and Romanian minimal deity Rhadoo also set to play within the next month.

Yu Yu will be hosting a stage at the third edition of Comunité Festival in Tulum, too, south of Cancun, this coming January. In 2017, the event donated proceeds to Restore Coral, a campaign to help the ailing Caribbean coral reefs.
