‘Past, Present, Future – Vol. 2’ by Carlo Lio

With ‘Past, Present, Future – Vol 2,’ Canadian DJ and producer Carlo Lio has crafted a dizzying two CD mix that captures the menacing essence of Dubfire’s SCI-TEC label. Lio has raided the SCI-TEC catalogue and displays a deft production skill through his seamless use of percussive and melodic tools and loops. Elements of as many as four separate tracks appear simultaneously and the result is sleek and relentless- never cluttered.

Part 1 is a retrospective look back at seminal SCI-TEC releases like Dubfire’s ominous freight train 'Rabid' and Reset Robot’s eerie 'Goblin', while Part 2 is more contemporary featuring Nick Curly’s haunting remix of Zoo Brazil’s 'Slob' and SHDWPLAY’s twisted 'Drug of Choice'.

‘Past, Present, Future- Vol. 2’ is out on June 27 on CD and in digital format.

Carlo Lio’s international tour in support of ‘Past, Present, Future – Vol. 2’ kicks off on June 14.
