2. Futureboogie

In:Motion, Bristol

If there's one party in Bristol worth checking out this month, it's this. Those yet to make it to this year's season of In:Motion could do worse than to haul their backsides to the Futureboogie takeover on Friday 23rd November.

No doubt flocking in their droves not only to enjoy the clipped grooves of Kerri Chandler, Moodymann, Maurice Fulton and George Fitzgerald, Bristol's most switched-on heads will also be there to pay respect. Led by Dave Harvey (El Harvo), Steve Nickoll (Joe 90) and Steve Offer (Kid Bongo), their decade-long legacy — made up of club promotion, label and agency — is a tried, tested and trusted staple of the city's club scene. Living up to the name, it's continued to win as much love from beardy geeks as cool kids coming through for its forward-thinking dedication to low-slung disco, deep funk and top-quality house music, while the rest of the city went nuts for bass music.

With local label favourite Waifs & Strays and agency friend Maxxi Soundsystem also in the house to fly the Futureboogie flag, this is one gathering in a skate park that is set to be totally rad.
