36-YEAR-OLD MAN FOUND DEAD AT T IN THE PARK FESTIVAL
The death is being treated as unexplained
A 36-year-old man has been found dead at T in the Park festival over the weekend after being discovered in toilets at the Strathallan Castle site in Auchterarder.
Police said the death — that occurred in the afternoon on Saturday at the Scottish festival — was currently being treated as unexplained.
A T in the Park spokesman said: "We are extremely saddened by this news, and our thoughts are with the family at this time." He said the organisers were helping police with their inquiries.
She continued: "Got to say a massive well done to staff and police for speedily protecting this guy’s privacy and keeping the area calm."
Officers are continuing enquiries with several festivalgoers after being made aware of a video showing an assault that is believed to have happened on Saturday afternoon in the campsite.
The festival was being held at its new home, Stralhallan Castle, for the first time.
