AFROJACK LAUNCHES NEW MUSIC-MAKING APP

Dutch DJ hooks up with gaming company Razer

Afrojack, the big Dutch DJ who polled at No.9 in DJ Mag's last Top 100 DJs poll, has just launched his own music-making app in association with gaming company Razer. The app allows users to make music on a Razer Blade Pro laptop using Afrojack's Production Studio app.

Afrojack, real name Nick van de Wall, teamed up with Razer last year to consult on their Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop and the Razer DeathStalker Ultimate keyboard for music production. As a result of this hook-up, Afrojack's app — which works in conjunction with FL Studio — has been created to “put tools and shortcuts at the user's fingertips”.

The Afrojack Production Studio application, exclusively designed for users of the Razer Switch Blade User Interface included on the Razer Blade Pro, contains assorted samples and effects sourced by Afrojack himself.

I’ve been getting so much out of my Razer Blade Pro over the past several months — at gigs, at home and everywhere in-between,” said Afrojack. “The new Afrojack Studio Production app is going to be super useful, and I’m excited to offer it to aspiring DJs and producers who love FL Studio as much as I do.”

Afrojack was first seen using his Razer Blade Pro laptop at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) last October at his live-streamed sold out show at the Heineken Music Hall. He has already brought Borgore and Flux Pavilion into Razer affiliation, with more DJs to follow.
