Algoriddim have taken their hugely successful djay App to the next level to ensure that it stays at the forefront of tablet and mobile phone DJing with a fantastic new user interface as well as some amazing new features and effects. djay 2 is a huge step up from the original DJing software from Algoriddim but whilst now being able to stand up and be counted as a serious piece of pro DJing software it still keeps its simplicity and charm that won it so many fans over the years. The user interface will look familiar to anyone who has used djay before but with some serious refinements like the full colour HD waveform display and virtual vinyl that includes grooves that would be found on a record if it had actually been pressed.
An entirely new track browsing and loading system has been devised for djay 2 making it easier than ever to browse and search for tracks as well as building playlists quickly and easily either in full screen library mode or in pop-over view mode keeping the decks in view.
A new sampler mode, slip mode, drum machine and FX are a host of new features that really add to the djay experience.
Waveform representations have been improved across all areas with HD colour waveform displays now the standard and a new Waveform View screen that has two huge waveforms scrolling side by side to make manual beat matching an absolute breeze. A very slick little addition is the way that when slip mode is engaged, the waveform splits apart so that the bit that is being manipulated is on view whilst the original timeline is moving underneath.
Algorridim djay 2 has really set the bar high when it comes to digital DJing software and will appeal to not just the pro but to any level of DJ but still deliver the kind of depth that would be expected from software and apps worth four times as much.
Algorridim djay 2 is available now from the App Store priced $4.99
