Fresh nights in the capital are ten-a-penny, one of the things that makes living here so damn exciting. New sounds, new people and new directions mean that London’s subculture is unlikely to stagnate anytime soon.
The latest player on the scene is Arkhive. Run by Shoreditch locals Benny Brown and Matt Rawson, the ethos is simple; free parties in an east London boozer on monthly Thursdays celebrating the best of future house, forgotten classics and good-time grooves.
DJmag popped down to their ram-jammed launch party in June and the vibes were strong, distant disco gems merged seamlessly with fresh cuts from the likes of Todd Terje and Wbeeza.
This month’s installment takes place on Thursday 28th July at The Horse & Groom and features dB24, Rich Fawcett plus erstwhile residents Benny Brown & Matt Rawson.
Check the dB24 promo mix below to get into the mood, and prepare to nurse a hangover come Friday morning!
