Armageddon Time

Party like it's the end of the world.

It's the end of the world as we know it this month, according to the Mayan calendar. And how do we feel? Featuring 3D from Massive Attack, James Lavelle from UNKLE, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Jamie Jones, Trentemøller, Acid Pauli, Subb-an, Fur Coat and many more, it's one of the more spectacular settings for a party at any time.

“December 21st is such a special day for our generation,” Rebels chief Damian Lazarus told DJ Mag. “Whether you think it might be the end of the world, the apocalypse or an opportunity for a new beginning or a new chapter, I figured that this was a great opportunity to celebrate with friends and loved ones from all over the world.” More info: www.dayzerofestival.com

Also in Mexico, the Time & Space festival features Ellen Allien, Guy J, Shpongle, Green Nuns Of The Revolution, Blond:ish, Hallucinogen and a load of other psy-trance people (www.timeandspacefestival.com), while closer to home The Prodigy host an end of the world extravaganza at Brixton Academy in London (www.theprodigystore.com).

In addition, maverick label Wall Of Sound is taking its End of the World tour on the road in the run-up to the 21st, featuring WoS acts Adamski, Mekon, Killaflaw, Echoes and Sykur.

The tour calls at Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Bath, Southend, Brighton and London before hitting Ibiza on the 21st. According to the prophet Nostradamus, Ibiza is the only civilisation that's going to be spared come the end of the world...
