Axwell ^ Ingrosso are going on hiatus to focus on Swedish House Mafia in 2019

“We felt it was time, and we missed it”

Axwell ^ Ingrosso are set to put their project on the back burner next year in order to focus on the return of Swedish House Mafia, Sebastian Ingrosso has said.

In an interview with Swedish publication, Metro, Ingrosso discussed the decision to reform Swedish House Mafia, production plans and the natural decision to put his and Axwell’s project on hold while the pair reunited with Steve Angello.

In explaining why they trio made the decision to reform, Ingrosso said, ““We felt it was time, and we missed it. And above all, we had fans who wanted us to reunite.”

In the interview he also said that the trio would be back in the studio together soon to “try to do something fun together.”

Speaking of the obvious decision to call an at least temporary halt to Axwell ^ Ingrosso, he said, “[We] will actually put it on the shelf. As I usually say, there are three dots, it’s not two plus a dot. But we will definitely still do our individual stuff.”

Last week, Steve Angello confirmed that the trio were working on new music and said that Swedish House Mafia would be playing Tomorrowland 2019 “by any means necessary”.
