Behringer have cloned yet another classic synth

This time it’s the Sequential Circuits Pro-One that’s getting the budget treatment...

Behringer have cloned another classic synth in the form of the Pro-One. The classic mono recreation was revealed on the Behringer Facebook page earlier today (14th March), pictured alongside the original unit.

While there are no official specs, you can make out from the image that the architecture is similar to the original – two oscilltors, two envelopes, a basic arpeggiator, modulation section and what looks like extra 3.5mm jacks for Eurorack connection.

It’s the latest in a string of announcements and teasers coming out of the Behringer camp, following on from their OB-Xa clone and VC340 vocoder. With their website ‘accidentally’ updated last year with a host of new products, this could just be the beginning for their new line of clones. No word on price or availability.
