Born in Manchester 23 years ago, Bench are key players on the streetwear parade and club scene. From The Hacienda to The Warehouse Project, In The City and Friends and Family, they’ve kept their roots close to their hearts while stretching the brand to worldwide appeal. Starting out as a bunch of mates selling t-shirt designs, they’ve come a long way, and this season launched a Self Made Competition for creatives to submit designs for anything from jewellery to custom-made bikes, with a chance to win five grand. Round about the same time, they’ll be securing their foundations with their concept store in Manchester’s thriving Northern Quarter.
