The Best of British Awards 2011
Voting now open!
The voting is open for this year's Best of British Awards, DJmag's celebration of the finest producers, DJs, labels, clubs and more from across the British dance scene.
This year's awards ceremony take place on Wednesday 14th of December at East Village where the results of the public vote will be revealed. The full list of nominees is below.
Last year Paul Woolford walked away with the accolade of Best DJ but this year there's a host of hungry young new talent snapping at his heels - could it be Hessle Audio boss Ben UFO, the multi-talented Maya Jane Coles or Hot Natured's Jamie Jones? Then at the other end of the scale there's Loefah, one of dubstep's original pioneers, or Secretsundaze's Giles Smith, who this year celebrated his club's 10th anniversary.
James Blake's walked away with Best Single for 'CMYK' on R&S, both artist and label going from strength to strength since. This year we've selected a handfull of dancefloor destroyers that you've no doubt heard far and wide. Take your pick from Eats Everything's bouncy ‘Entrance Song’, Mosca's garage revivalist ‘Bax’. Scuba's exploration in soul soaked house ‘Adrenalin’, Miguel Campbell's slinky ‘Something Special’ and Rustie's head rush of ‘Ultra Thizz’.
