Best of British Set to Rock London's AKA This Wednesday!

Radio Slave, Skream, Benga, Luke Solomon, Ben Watt and James Preistly confirmed for this years Best of British Awards Party - hosted by Jimi Mistry!

Home to some of the best clubs, DJs and producers on the planet and renowned for its unquestionable hunger for dance music and club culture, Britain's best talent will be showcased at DJmag's Best of British Awards 2008 sponsored by Bench - and you can be among the first to witness this years results!

This is the time to show love to the biggest homegrown talent in the industry – the players who fire the life into Britain's thriving music scene.

Taking place at the infamous AKA nightclub in London, speculation is mounting as to who will scoop the awards this Wednesday night. But one thing you can be sure of is a line-up of acts selected from the best of British stock playing everything from techno, dubstep and beyond.

British Asian actor, and star of cult movie East is East, Jimi Mistry will host the awards in lieu of his forthcoming dance music documentary. The cameras will be rolling all night so watch out for your chance to get involved!

Techno phenomenon Radio Slave will head the DJ bill and is joined by Buzzin' Fly afficianado Ben Watt, Rekids' Luke Solomon and Secret Sundaze's James Priestly. Also making an appearance behind the decks will be dubstep duo Skream and Benga, playing back to back in what is sure to be a bass-filled night to remember!

So be sure to cancel Thursday's plans, because with an entry fee on the night of just £5, there is no excuse not to come down and witness a midweek music extravaganza that celebrates all that is good about dance music in Britain.
