The organisers behind The Big Chill festival are set to open a spectacular bar-cum-club-cum-lounge in London's Kings Cross on Thursday 17th August.
The Big Chillers have converted a massive listed building on Pentonville Road into a four floored chill boudoir, complete with two balconies, a basement bar and a huge outside terrace area capable of holding up to 550 people.
The house will be used as a base for live music, club nights, art, AV and digital art, and will offer both a late night and day comfort zone for hippies and hedonists throughout the year.
"The moment we walked in the door, we knew it was the oasis we had been looking for," said Big Chill's Pete Lawrence.
An entire weekend of live events and club nights are planned to celebrate the launch of the house, including sets from Bent, Bill Brewster and Mixmaster Morris.
With the ongoing regeneration of the Kings Cross area, and the new Eurostar terminal due in 2007, The Big Chill House could soon become one of the most important places to hang out in London.
And what's more, entry to The Big Chill house is free!
