BLOCKS REVEALS FORTHCOMING 'SÉANCE EP'

Narratives boss continues to push boundaries

Drum and bass heads at the ready, Blocks is back with his first solo offering for Narratives Music.

Promising “ethereal vocals, forlorn strings and analogue bursts of glassy synths”, the 'Séance EP' is set to carry on the label's tradition of pushing the boundaries of 170bpm. As Blocks himself says: “Drum and bass is anything you can get away with”.

Due for release in May, the EP consists of the following four tracks:

A1) 'Moon & Stars'
A2) 'Patriarch'
B1) 'Haven (feat. Jennifer Hall)'
B2) 'Seance'

Established by Blocks and regular collaborator Escher back in 2012, Narratives Music is already one of the most beloved boutique labels in drum and bass. The label's sound is undefinable, never conforming to formulaic production. Previous contributions have come from the likes of young upstart Overlook, stalwart of the scene Loxy, and the mysterious Rhyming In Fives.

Check out the Narratives debut release 'Sagan', produced by the founders themselves:

Elsewhere, Blocks and Escher have been going from strength to strength, securing releases on both Metalheadz and Critical.
