Boardmasters announces stage splits for 2018 festival

DJ Mag will be streaming live from the Point Stage presented by Relentless

Boardmasters festival has revealed the stage splits for its summer 2018 edition.

Taking place in at Fistral Beach / Watergate Bay, Cornwall between Wednesday 8th and Sunday 12th August, the vast line-up will be divided between five equally impressive stages. The Chemical Brothers will headline the main stage on Saturday 11th August.

DJ Mag will be streaming live from the festival’s Point Stage presented by Relentless. Names on the festival’s electronic focussed stage for Friday include Claptone, Idris Elba, Booka Shade and Butch. On Saturday, names include Skream, Steve Lawler, Monki and Or:la. Bicep will headline the stage with a DJ set on Sunday, preceded by the likes of Tiga, Denis Sulta and HAAi.

The festival’s Unleashed stage will host the likes of MK and Stefflon Don on Friday 10th, while Annie Mac, Shy FX presents: CULT.URE and Monki will play on Saturday 11th. On Sunday 12th Craig David’s TS5, Holy Goof and Disciples will play the stage.

The festival has also announced its Beach Sessions line-up which will feature South-African singer-songwriter Jeremy Loops playing on Wednesday 8th with support from Keir. Meanwhile, as well as playing a set on the mainstage with Fun Lovin' Criminals, the act's frontman Huey Morgan will be headlining the Beach Sessions on Thursday 9th with his NYC Block Party. 

Elsewhere on the line-up, the likes of the The Horrors, Songhoy Blues, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Editors are all playing, plus interactive events like a stand-up comedy hour and language workshops teaching ravers the local Cornish dialect.
