Carl Craig and friends celebrate 20 years of making you shake your booty

On Saturday 5th March seminal Detroit techno pioneer Carl Craig will celebrate two decades of his label Planet E Communications. 20 Years of Planet E will shake Ewer Street Warehouse all night long, featuring Craig as the headliner, as well as sets from François Kevorkian, Radio Slave, Paul Woolford, and a dozen other DJs.

DJmag is offering two free tickets for this not-to-be-missed event. To enter to win, email [email protected] with your contact information and put in the subject line the name of the legendary Detroit-based film that featured Peter Weller as a cybernetic crime fighter.

Carl Craig has long been considered a mainstay in the Detroit techno scene, and his artful approach to music-making has garnered some wider acclaim. In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy for his haunting remix of Junior Boys’ “Like a Child.” Craig has expanded the Detroit techno sound by incorporating a wide range of influences and remixing jazz and world beat songs.
