Circus Freak Out!

Laurent Garnier and more hit Liverpool this weekend

As the January blues lift and the first post Christmas payday hits your baron bank account, clubland becomes exciting again.

What better way to exit the wagon than with Liverpool’s Circus, this month taking over The Masque, a delightful old theatre with bags of chararacter and a killer

soundsystem.

In typical Circus fashion, the line up is gargantuan. The main room is hosted by Laurent Garnier’s new LBS project, alongside Benjamin Rippert and Scan X. Garnier tells us that this epic performance will blur the lines between live performance, DJing and improvisation;

"During the live sections of L.B.S I will be developing and fine-tuning new tracks in front of (and with) the crowd to create the live of the future, but also to test out new tracks. We’ll be taking our time, something that isn’t really the done thing nowadays! Alongside Benjamin and Scan X I’ll be creating tracks live for my next tour and for my future releases."

Elsewhere cosmic disco don Aeroplane, stalwart resident and promoter Yousef, Swedish techno export Adam Beyer and the super-hot Space Dimension Controller will provide the beats.
