Liverpool's dance music festival Creamfields has abandoned its spiritual home, and moved to a site closer to the motorway.
After seven years, Liverpudlian dance festival Creamfields has abandoned its spiritual home at Old Liverpool Airfield in Speke.
Its August bank holiday rave up will now be held at Daresbury estate in the borough of Halton, which is a green-field site in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, surrounded by woodland, with easy access to the motorway.
The new location for Creamfields is not 100% certain, as Cream hasn't applied for a license with Halton Borough Council yet.

But Cream insists that preliminary meetings with the council and police have gone well.
Cream's CEO James Barton said: "Creamfields is an internationally acclaimed event and over the last seven years has made a huge contribution to Liverpool's cultural renaissance.
"A successful Creamfields will help promote Halton and demonstrate their willingness to deliver a major cultural event."
Over 40,000 clubbers attended Creamfields last year, which has been headlined by the likes of Scissor Sisters, Massive Attack, Pet Shop Boys, Run DMC, Basement Jaxx, Faithless and Underworld over the years.
