Catching your favourite DJs commanding a colossal arena or dominating the dazzling confines of a superclub is one thing, but sometimes it’s hard to beat seeing your favourite new DJs in a snug, sweaty 200-capacity club environment, eh?
So praise be to The Nest for finally nailing it. With parties featuring Instra:Mental, Redihno and Krystal Klear (6th Jan); Rustie and Mele (13th Jan) and Tiger & Woods and Psychemagik (20th Jan) hitting its dusty bowels on every Friday of the year so far, 27th Jan welcomes Russ Yallop, a producer/DJ hyped to the hills since dropping some tasty disco-dipped beats onto Crosstown Rebels/Rebellion. If that ain’t enough, he’ll be joined by nu-disco innovator Maxxi Soundsystem, who’s been making quite a name for himself, recently dropping tunes onto Hot Creations, Future Boogie and Needwant Records. Taking things to The Nest level!
