DAFT PUNK TO RELEASE ALBUM IN 2013

All signs point to an April comeback

Daft Punk have called end-of-days with their former record label Virgin EMI after a 16 year stint with the label from signing in 1996.

Three albums later the French duo have called it quits and have now taken up a new contract with Sony's Columbia and details according to NME we can expect a new album this April.

Daft Punk have been working with Nile Rodgers of the American disco band Chic. Rodgers had previously hinted that the duo would be working on an album for 2013.

The Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams and Italian disco innovator Giorgio Moroder have also been confirmed on the album. While rumours have been circling that Panda Bear of Animal Collective and electro MC Chilly Gonzales will also be featuring on the album.

The upcoming and as yet untitled album will be the followup to 2010's film soundtrack 'Tron: Legacy' released on Walt Disney Records.
