Deadmau5 Brixton Takeover

Canadian wonderkid announces one-off gig at Brixton’s 02 Accademy

Hot on the heels of the Swedish House Mafia’s sellout dates at Brixton's 02 Accademy dance music’s other Midas-infused superbrand Deadmau5 announces his own gig at the iconic London venue.

The event, scheduled for Friday 30th April 2010 will be the biggest solo Deadmau5 show ever seen in the capital. Almost 5,000 fans will pack out the cavernous space of the Accademy in anticipation of the elusive Deadmau5 electro show.

The show is timed to coincide with the release of the new Deadmau5 LP so expect bags of new material chopped and reworked into the diverse electro force of the enigmatic young Canadian.

Joel Zimmerman’s relentless rise through dance music has been riddled by controversy. Never has one man polarized dance music in such a way. His comments on DJs have jilted the industry, his giant mau5 head written off as a gimic by the old hands, yet the foot soldiers in the clubs worship him as the new messiah and in turn got online and voted him into the upper echelons of the Top 100 poll for two sucessive years. Whatever side of the fence you sit, this show is unmissable.

Tickets are sure to sell out at lightening rates, so if you want to get on board you’ll need to move quickly.

Tickets are released at 9am this Friday 18th December from www.ticketweb.co.uk
