Who do you want to win the World Cup?
“It would be amazing to see Belgium do something this year, at this moment we have such a good team with so many young and talented players coming through. Hazard will be as good as Messi and Ronaldo in a few years, so it could be us? And if not this year, the team will be in such a very strong position in the next tournament. A lot of people are saying this is a golden generation for the Belgium national team and people are really excited about it and getting behind the team!”
Who's going to win the World Cup?
“Of course, you have the obvious favourites, Germany for example, or Brazil as it is a home World Cup for them. The Brazilian people we met and spoke about the World Cup with on our recent tour there really believe they can win it. That said, why not Belgium? We have a great team, if we can get out of the group stages, on our day we can beat anyone. The whole country is behind the team and without wanting to put too much pressure on them, we have a lot of world-class players in the squad at the moment — maybe this is the year!”
Standout World Cup memory?
“We had a great team in the 1986 World Cup. We were both very young at the time but can remember the excitement around it and how well everyone said we had been performing. We reached the semi-finals and I remember talking about it with our Dad, who said we came really close but were a bit unlucky not to reach the final. We were knocked out by Argentina, who went on to win it.”
Who should DJ before the World Cup Final?
“Fatboy Slim is the man who deserves that honour. His energy and passion for the art of DJing is hugely impressive. We’d love to join him onstage for a back-to-back session.”
