DJ Mag has partnered with staple Los Angeles mega club, Avalon Hollywood for our 2014 Top 100 Clubs Tour. Starting this month we’ll being taking a three-month journey across the world, making our first-ever Los Angeles stop. This will provide the opportunity for the fans’ voices to be heard by voting for their favorite club dance floor.
Avalon Hollywood first opened its doors in October 2003, and 10 years later, over 500 club nights and well over a million club goers later Avalon remains a thriving US haunt. With an incredible sound and light system Avalon quickly became the must attend venue in Hollywood, and continues to exert a magical appeal for performers, drawing the biggest names in the dance world to its hallowed decks.
Representing one of the top clubs in America and the number one club in LA, DJ Mag will host tyDi along with Andy Moor and Kristina Sky at Avalon Hollywood, on January 25.
On this historic night presented by DJ Mag, tyDi will take over the Avalon, blending trance melodies, pop vocals and trademark glitch effects. Already a proven dance music hit-maker, Brisbane’s prodigal son broke onto the scene in 2008 and was promptly crowned Australia’s #1 DJ, a feat he repeated the next year in 2009. Building upon this landmark accomplishment, tyDi released his debut album Shooting Stars which charted #4 on iTunes in the US and #1 in Australia, Canada, UK and Finland. Showing no signs of slowing down, tyDi is constantly touring the world playing top venues and festivals. Recently he released his follow up album, Hotel Rooms, introducing a fusion of electronica, chill, orchestral and ambient music.
Supporting tyDi is Grammy-award nominated DJ and producer, Andy Moor. For 15 years, Moor has been at the forefront of the rapidly evolving music scene, remixing and collaborating with Tiesto, Above & Beyond, Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne and Paul Oakenfold, to name just a few. Andy has been honored with a Grammy nomination for "Best Remixed Record," won an International Dance Music Award for "Best Dance Record," while also getting nods for "Best Dance Track" and "Best Dance Producer."
