Dub Be Good to Me

Momentous dubstep charity bash brings together the cream of the crop...

BRACE your ribcage and protect your neck
because there's an epic dubstep event on the
horizon that's likely to get the streets of
London rumbling and quaking.
Dubraizer, at Corsica Studios in Elephant &
Castle, on 2nd August, brings together the
biggest players of the dubstep scene, all in the
name of charity.

Equipped with a state-of-the-art Funktion 1
soundsystem, Dubraizer is set to be a heavy
affair. In room one, the acclaimed Skream,
who garnered a nomination
for Best Album in our DJmag Best of British
awards for 'Skream!' headlines in a
special back-to-back soundclash throwdown
with another hotly-tipped scenester, Loefah.

Other futuristic bass nuts on the bill include the
shadowy Hyperdub don Kode 9, who'll no doubt be keeping the
selection aquatic and tripped out, vs. The Bug,
aka Kevin Martin, whose career has
consistently focused on head-caving low
frequencies and sonic ragga assaults. There's
no way they're gonna disappoint.

Other acts already confirmed include the next
generation of heads. Chef will be going
head-to-head with D1, while Kion faces up to
Unlikely. Sgt. Pokes will be hosting. In room
two, Whistla, Oneman, Metalbox, Threnody,
Boomnoise, Optimum and Ikonika will all be
representing - an ideal opportunity to check
'em before they explode.

Tickets cost a fiver and all proceeds will go to
CJ's Media Workz, an urban youth development
organisation. Phone 07906 568 043 and get ya
dub on.
