EDM 8: RELEASES THAT RULED THIS WEEK

Kick the weekend off with American DJ, producer and vocalist, Lea Luna’s curation of the top eight releases in dance music this week.

1. George Maple- ‘Talk Talk’ (Moon Boots remix)

George Maple's 'Talk Talk' boasts a smooth, sexy vocal that set Moon Boots up for the perfect sultry house remix. This deep groove is pure class.

2. Eric Prydz vs CHVRCHES- ‘Tether’

Bright synths and a sweet voice accomplish a truly original and brilliant sound together on this version of 'Tether',a more progressive sounding tone on the broad spectrum of Eric Prydz's musical strengths that takes the original mood of CHVRCHES' sizzling vocal to new heights.

3. Krafty Kutz- ‘Going Crazy’

Krafty Kuts is back with a fresh spin on the Gnarls Barkley classic "Crazy" that is the signature booming and bass-heavy sound of Krafty Kuts in full-effect. Twists of breakbeat and garage turn the beat around on this pop tune in a way that will make listeners wish it was the original radio version to begin with. 

4. Chus & Ceballos, Adrian Hour- ‘Beat Pirates’

The late night crowd is in for a treat with the release of "Beat Pirates," a techy dancefloor heater that features hypnotizing vocal sample loops and a touch of latin influence packed into a composition of percussive grooves that is just perfect for an imprint like Toolroom to get behind. The club scene will eat this up. 

5. Ellen Allien- ‘Freak The Night’ (Ejeca remix)

Acid house is making a comeback with a refreshing yet nostalgic remix of Ellen Allien's 2014 triumph 'Freak the Night' courtesy of Ejeca. Ellen, a techno goddess of Berlin roots and Ibiza fame, has just released a five-track remix EP which you can find this gem right in the middle of, as well as three other interpretations of 'Freak the Night' and one banging new remix of 'Butterfly'.

6. Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano ft. KiFi- ‘Come Follow’

A new anthem is born with 'Come Follow' by Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano featuring a powerful male vocal by KiFi. This is a perfect sing-along jam to get progressive EDM enthusiasts excited for spring break. 

7. Sander van Doorn, Martin Garrix & DVBBS feat. Aleesia- ‘Gold Skies’ (FTampa remix)

Aleesia's unforgettable vocal in "Gold Skies" depicted the summer festival feel so well during its reign on the main stages this past year courtesy of Sander van Doorn, Martin Garrix, and DVBBS that it has been reinvented just in time for festival season to kick back in. This time, FTampa has turned up the energy to 11 with a bouncy, electro remix that is available for free download.

8. Vicetone- ‘Follow Me’ feat. JHart

Rumor has it that Ultra Music Festival has chosen an anthem to represent this year's historically massive event, and the tune that takes the crown is nothing less than massive itself. Vicetone's ‘Follow Me’ featuring JHart is already set to be one of the most memorable songs in Miami next month, but you can get your hands on it right now and get the party started early.
