In the wake of England’s World Cup victory over Sweden on Saturday, England’s Euro ’96 anthem ‘Three Lions’ has topped the streaming charts on Spotify.
The win in the quarter-final round saw Baddiel, Skinner and The Lightning Seeds’ track streamed over one million times in one day alone on 7th July following the match.
The track pushed Drake from the top of the Spotify’s UK streaming charts to claim the number one spot, and with England’s semi-final match against Croatia fast approaching, it’s likely to stay there for some time yet.
Fingers crossed it’s place at the top spot will continue past this Sunday’s final in Moscow.
