2010 was the year of the 'Coma Cat' and 2013 is the Chinese Year of the Snake, so it's safe to say we're on for another year of the Tensnake. He has just delivered his debut Radio One: Essential Mix after all.
Signed to Defected after dropping the big cat anthem of the year, he might have gone quiet over the past twelve months, save for a double A-side with Flashmob and the steady operation of his own Mirau label, with LP releases from Iron Curtis and Erdbeerschnitzel.
However, judging by this benchmark two-hour effort blending nu-disco, future-funk and house for Pete Tong's revered Essential Mix mantle, he is happily very much back with us, with releases on their way later this year.
