Today we're delighted to bring you an exclusive DJ mix from Josh Wink — recorded live at his Ovum 20 party at Concrete in Paris recently.
The mix arrives in advance of Wink's appearance at the sweet sixteenth birthday party in London of John Digweed's acclaimed Bedrock event. Bedrock 16 is at the Electric in Brixton on Saturday 4th October.
Joining Josh and Bedrock main man Diggers are the Pig & Dan duo, who have just released their highly eclectic 'Destination Unknown' album on Bedrock, and also Spencer Parker. Soul Of Noise and Neil Browne play Room 2.
This is the first Bedrock event at the Brixton Electric, and the guys have flown in Pure Groove's SH96HO soundsystem exclusively for the party — reportedly the most accurate high-power loudspeaker ever created.
Bedrock 16 will also act as the launch party for John Digweed & Nick Muir's collaborative album with cult sci-fi author John Twelve Hawks — 'The Traveler', as reported by DJ Mag here
Diggers will also be hosting a pre-party at Plan B in Brixton from 7pm, where he will be previewing 'Thew Traveler' album in full. It'll be free to all Bedrock ticket-holders for the Electric party that night. More info and tickets here.
Josh Wink, of course, is the acclaimed Philly techno/house DJ/producer, who first shot to prominence with his 'Higher State Of Consciousness' behemoth. He had subsequent club hits with tracks like 'Don't Laugh', 'Are You There?' and 'Evil Acid', and his own label Ovum has itself just passed its 20th birthday milestone.
