EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: ALEJANDRO PAZ'S, NADA MAS

A snarky, anarchist streak runs through much of Latin American electronic music. You hear it in Rebolledo’s rambunctious techno, Matias Aguayo’s beatbox micro-house, Los Mekanikos’s campy, jacking beats, and on many releases issued by labels like Cómeme and Sanfuentes Records whose proclaimed target audience is those who “dance, laugh, scream, hallucinate and take their shirts off.”

In that fine tradition, Chilean Alejandro “El House” Paz presents his latest EP, Vayanse on April 20th, no less. In addition to the title track, remixed to acid house bliss by label master Sanfuentes himself, the EP also includes Nada Mas, which gets an electropunk remix via Mexico City’s Mijo that makes us want to dig up our old copy of Liaisons Dangereuses's Niños del Parque and a few other DAF and electronic body music jams. Fortunately, DJ Mag’s got the exclusive premiere of Mijo’s rework so you don’t have to wait until 4/20 to get lifted.
