EXCLUSIVE: STREAM ‘FORREST & MAT.JOE’S ‘CLOSER’

We are big fans of Forrest here at DJ Mag HQ. His hypnotic – dare we say ‘proper’ deep house sound has seen the London-based artist release on labels including Visionquest, 2020 Vision, Noir and Defected.

Last month he soundtracked our weekly office party with a set of slick and experimental deep and tech house vibes, enhanced by his own microphone and EFX antics. If you missed that set, you can relive it HERE (Highly recommended).

Now he is back with a fresh cut on the in-house label of infamous Berlin venue Katerholzig. ‘Closer’  which he made with Mat.Joe is a chugging underground house bomb, that samples the top line from Bill Wither’s ‘Grandma’s Hands’ – a sample probably better known from Blackstreet’s ‘No Diggity’.

Sample trainspotting aside, this is a guaranteed dance floor roller, that will be on repeat well into 2014.
