Gina Turner & Mitch de Klein on new EP
New York producer Gina Turner sent us this exclusive clip of 'Bliss', a track taken from her new collaborative EP with young Dutch producer Mitch de Klein.
Gina met Mitch, who has released for labels like Mixmash Records, Turn It, Samsobeats and Nervous Records, after he was discovered by her husband Laidback Luke on his forum for sharing production tips with young talent.
“When I started my own label he was one of the first people I asked for demos from,” explains Gina enthusiastically. “He sent me a bunch, all true to his percussive techno sound, and I ended up signing 'BeatBox'.
“I knew the next step was to work with him! So while working on my album, I met up with him at his home studio in the Netherlands and asked for him to do some coproduction and help me bring the music that I had stuck in my head to reality! These tracks ended up being so good that I couldn't wait to just let them be on my album!”
The result is their three track EP, out 1st October on Gina's Turn It Records, with 'Bliss' joined by 'Speaker' and a Mitch de Klein remix of 'Speaker'.
