House and techno treats in Barcelona this June
All roads tend to lead to Barcelona in June, where electronic music will be taking over the city's streets for a long weekend once again.
As with every year, the already thriving dance scene will be chock-a-block with A-list talents and auspicious newcomers—and nowhere is this more apparent than at FACT's pool parties.
Held at the majestic surroundings of La Carpa Barcelona, the action runs from the 13th-16th June. FACT, of course, has a history for throwing great Sonar parties for years, and 2013 looks set to cement their reputation as one of Barcelona's most canny promoter crews.
The daytime extravaganzas kick off at 3:30pm and runs every day until 11pm, with La Carpa's backyard pool oasis a fitting backdrop to some of the finest sounds you're likely to encounter during Sonar week.
The action is kick-started by the Mobilee crew on 13th June, where ringleader Anja Schneider will be joined by regular label buddies a la Sebo K, Pan-Pot, Ray Okpara, Ralf Kollmann and more. Fans of the label will also want to look out for a live set from And.Id at that one.
New Pacha Ibiza recruit and Supplement Facts boss Guy Gerber will then step up to the plate on the 14th, where he'll be joined by Ellen Allien and an as-yet-unannounced raft of others at his suitably titled Guy Gerber & Friends party.
2gther on the 15th sees Dutch house/techno maestro Joris Voorn take centre stage, before Flying Circus Barcelona—complete with M.A.N.F.L.Y (aka M.A.N.D.Y and Audiofly), Heidi and Bill Patrick—will close the 4-day soiree in the sort of fashion only they know how. It should all make for another 4 days of fantastic partying. Fact.
