Croatian fest turns 8
It seems like yesterday that The Garden Festival celebrated its fifth birthday on the idyllic shores of Petrcane, Croatia. Now as we edge towards the eighth edition (3rd July-10th July), the festival could not be in better health, its appeal heightened by a new location — the Tisno site it launched last summer — and a reputation that consistently garners record numbers year in, year out.
Aside from achingly gorgeous sunsets and crystal blue sea, it's the event's scheduled stock of Class A DJ talent, covering the finest of house, techno and disco inside a club and al fresco — in the blazing sun and after it sets — that makes The Garden a no-brainer for the thousands of house heads that flock from the UK to the site each summer.
This year, names such as Floating Points, Maurice Fulton, Bicep, Soul Clap and Theo Parrish will make up a roster spread over the space of seven days, so book now and get preparing for a summer of doing anything but caring.
