Gatecrasher confirm The Prodigy & The Chems

Gatecrasher confirm The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers as their main headliners for the first two day Summer Soundystem festival this May.

We might still be in January but Gatecrasher haven't wasted any time in announcing the headliners for this year's Summer Soundsystem festival but then they have got something to shout about – namely The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers.

The first time two of dance music's biggest UK live acts been united on one bill at a major dance festival in years - the gig also represents one of only four UK festival appearances for The Prodigy this summer. The mighty pairing of The Chems and The Prod will be joined by the razor tongued Dizzee Rascal, nu-rave dons CSS, French disco-punks Digitalism, and trance titan Paul Van Dyk to name just a few.

Not only have Gatecrasher brought out the heavy artillery headliners early on but they're also extending the event from last year's one day affair to a two day camping jaunt with 20,000 camping spaces and a 60,000 overall capacity. Like last year's event – the first Summer Soundsystem for five years – the action will go down over bank holiday weekend – beginning on Saturday 24th May and finishing in the early hours of Monday 26th May.
Already 20 separate arenas are planned for the weekend with über cool French label Ed Banger, old skool legend Fantazia and d&b heads Metropolis and One Nation all inked in to host their own. Amongst the other confirmed headliners are New Young Pony Club, Tiga, Roni Size's Reprazent, The Whip, DJ Marky, Audio Bullys, Zane Lowe and DJ Yoda.
Tickets are going on sale on Friday 25th January with early bird tickets available at £105.
