Voting has begun for the Trance Awards

For its third consecutive year, the Trance Awards is back to big up the greatest movers and shakers in the sphere of trance. Voting has now begun online, with the doors being swung open for the public to vote in no less than 13 categories.

Voters can log on to www.tranceawards.com and fly the flag for their favourites in a variety of categories, including best club, best DJ, best label and best radio show. Last year's winners include DJmag's Top 100 DJs No.1, Armin van Buuren (best DJ), Cream at Amnesia, Ibiza (best club), and Paul van Dyk (best producer).

The Trance Awards culminates with a star-studded ceremony and party, which has previously taken over God's Kitchen and Slinky, and this year, on 22nd December, comes to esteemed trance institution Passion at Leicester's Emporium. A celebration of all that's good across the increasingly diverse trance spectrum, the Trance Awards typically attracts a crazed crowd of rabid trance junkies and this year shows no signs of that changing. Genre champion Judge Jules will be on hand to present the awards, and will also be performing at the event, which in previous years has featured performances from Sander Van Doorn, Gareth Emery, Marcel Woods, Graham Gold and Nu NRG. This year's line-up has just been announced, featuring top DJs such as Simon Paterson, JFK, John '00' Fleming, Matt Hardwick and more to be confirmed.

This year the www.tranceawards.com website, powered by Trackitdown.net, has had an overhaul and voters will be able to access personal 'trance histories' by scene luminaries, detailing how they first discovered the music and what it means to them. There'll also be up-to-date charts, showing the DJs' biggest tracks over the last twelve months, and other fresh trance-related resources to get stuck into. Log on now and get voting for your favourites!
