Cruise ships? Rows of leathery skinned 70-year-olds topping up their tans through gaps in ill-fitting swim wear; weeks subjected to tacky cabarets, magic shows and karaoke, and endless nights of bingo hosted by sickeningly smiley skippers in sequined waistcoats... No thanks, yuck! But, wait, what's this? The Groove Cruise? Four days of relentless beats, cocktail swigging and constant ass-shaking on a massive party sailing from Miami, stopping at two tropical Caribbean islands... Much more like it!

Now in its eight year the Groove Cruise is basically a dozen consecutive parties on a cruise ship - the world’s largest floating dance music festival. Two thousand likeminded partygoers, 55 artists two private islands and 72 hours of music. Groove Cruise is undoutedly an experience of a lifetime.

Chartered on state-of-the-art ships from a Norwegian cruise line, the ship spans the length of three football pitches and towers 18-stories high above sea level. When you’re not dancing the night (or day) away, you can begin to explore the floating city with the reams of casinos, arcades, bars, restaurants and shops, you’ll probably forget you’re on a ship.

With at least three parties and a pool party each day, every aspect of house music is represented in pure style, headlining events are the likes of Rodger Sanchez, Victor Calderone, Sander Van Doorn, Boris, Chus+Ceballos, Funkagenda Chris Lake and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
