HMS BESTIVAL DOCKS AT PORT

Dance acts announced for maritime area

Bestival, Rob Da Bank's annual Isle Of Wight fun-filled festival, has just announced its dance line-up for The Port area.

German techno über-lord Sven Väth heads up the Friday night, Annie Mac from BBC Radio 1 brings her AMP concept to the Saturday night, and Sunday night is headlined by London-based bass duo Chase & Status, with Andy C also bringing his Ram Records contingent to aboard on the Sunday night.

The Port is the landlocked harbour area introduced at the 2013 event to fit with Bestival's nautical theme, and proved to be so popular that they've brought it back.

Last year we created The Port, possibly our coolest stage ever, and it’s back with another three days and nights of musical marvels from many of the world’s finest DJs,” said Bestival head honcho Rob Da Bank. “Roughly speaking, Friday is techno night, Saturday is Miss Annie Mac’s massive party night, and Sunday starts chilled and ends in junglist bass mayhem. All aboard!”

Sven is joined on the Friday by Damian Lazarus, Eats Everything, Boys Noize, South London Ordnance and Rob Da Bank himself.

Annie Mac brings people like Green Velvet and Bicep to her AMP takeover, and Sunday sees Dusky, Gorgon City and Jaguar Skills play earlier on before Ram stalwarts Wilkinson, Loadstar and Andy C himself ruff up the poop-deck.

The main Bestival headliners are Beck, Outkast, Foals and Chic. More acts will be announced soon.

Bestival is held in the Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle Of Wight from September 4th – 7th. Tickets available here
