IBIZA: ARE YOU TRIBAL?

Darius Syrossian is bringing something wild to Sankeys Ibiza...

Opened on the island by Danny Tenaglia on Wednesday 21st May, Tribal Sessions is Darius Syrossian and Sankeys owner David Vincent's latest venture. The brand, born in 2003, might have introduced the likes of Jeff Mills, Matthew Dear and James Zabiela to Sankeys (Manchester) during the early days while giving Darius and Greg Vickers their first residencies, before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2010, but it's the night's reintroduction on New Year's Eve that really got Manchester moving again.

Coming just months after Darius decided to part ways with Steve Lawler and ViVA Warriors, Tribal Sessions have run monthly, booking the likes of KiNK, Hector Couto and Joseph Capriati in recent months; however, Ibiza is in the crosshairs.

Taking place every Wednesday over the course of 20 dates (to celebrate 20 years of Sankeys), the likes of Move D, DJ Sneak, Dave Clarke, François K, Josh Butler, Paul Woolford and La Fleur will all appear alongside Darius throughout the season.

Darius Syrossian's tips:
Best Ibiza club: “Sankeys Ibiza without a shadow of a doubt.”

Most heart-melting sunset: “Kumharas Beach Bar is beautiful and more peaceful than all the ones on sunset strip, but I'm more of a sunrise kind of guy than sunset.”

Nicest beach: “I really like Sa Caleta, small and intimate with clear water.”

Favourite cheap eat: “Passion Cafe in Bossa for a Super Food Salad is great.”

Top spot for posh nosh: “Los Das Lunas on the main road near Amnesia is brilliant, pricey but great, but I also love the Fish Shack which is great food but very organic and old skool, which has a charm about it.”

Choice pre-party hang-out: “Anywhere my crew is, as long as I'm with my crew I don't care where we are...”
