Ibizan Heaven!
London club spreads its wings to Ibiza town...
This summer heralds the arrival of London club Heaven, who take over the old Penelope's venue on Ibiza town's Avenida 8 de Agusto. A stone's throw from both Pacha and El Divino, Heaven Ibiza hopes to attract a similarly discerning and debonair crowd. And with the neon Heaven sign already acting us a beacon on Ibiza town's portside skyline no expense has been spared on giving the club a glamorous interior befitting of its postcode.
"Heaven's looking to become a worldwide brand and there's no better place to do it than in Ibiza," explained Heaven Ibiza's Promotions Manager Issie Nixon. "We installed a full Funktion One soundsystem, added intelligent lighting, there's a beautiful outdoor terrace and our Island VIP area offers some of the best views of the port and Ibiza town," continued Issie. "Apart from L'Elephant in San Rafael, I can't think of a nightspot with a view to match it."
Catering for the gay market, Tuesdays at Heaven will offer the finest in house, electro and progressive with DJs Pagano, Gonzalo and Nick Tcherniak. Thursday presents the glamorous house party Salvation for a London club spreads its wings to Ibiza town... dressed up mixed crowd, whilst island favourites Penetra make the short trip across from El Divino to host Saturdays with their seductive underground electronics.
"We're working closely with promoters who have been established on the island for many years to give Heaven an Ibizan feel," explained Issie. "On Wednesdays we've got Zenith, who have been promoting here for 12 years - everywhere from Space to Amnesia. One party I'm also really excited about is Friday's Supermartxe - they're a Spanish party with a really fun feel to their nights."
As well as the regular promotions, Heaven will also host the Ibizan debut of London based London drum & bass label Hospital, who'll be bringing a one-off Hospitality special to Heaven Ibiza on Sunday 19th August. On this night, Hospital heads London Elektricity, Cyantific and High Contrast will be joined by the heavy-hitting sounds of Andy C and Matrix.
A beautiful 1500-capacity club with mezzanine levels and two rooms, Heaven Ibiza is a welcome addition to the island's ever broadening nightlife.
