Infected Mushroom spectacular live show

Supporting eighth album 'Army of Mushrooms'

Famous psychonaut Terrance McKenna once put forward the hypothesis that mushrooms could in fact be extraterrestrial life forms, something inspired by consuming their Psilocybin variety in vast quantities. It's taken Israeli duo Infected Mushroom, however, Amit ‘Duvdev’ Duvdevani and Erez Eisen to their self-transforming machine elves, to envisage an 'Army of Mushrooms', the name of their eight album (out now on Dim Mak).

Originally associated with the trance scene, recent years have seen them add glitchy electro, dubstep and other twisted electronic noises to their make-up, while they've worked with Perry Farrell from Jane's Addiction and Jonathan Davis from Korn, hinting at a love of metal. This time around collaborators include Borgore and Zedd, while singles ‘U-R-So-Fu**ed’ (the video of which shows them being beaten up by Argentinian female wrestlers) and ‘Nation of Wusses’ highlight their headbanging new sound.

Best of all though is their new live show which features them in giant Spinal Tap pods with a light show to put even Deadmau5 to shame. Observe...
